Elegoo Jupiter – Will it Print a whole army in one plate?
Hello Resin Warrior!
By this time you are all familiar with Elegoo Jupiter and their successful Kickstarter but will Elegoo Jupiter be the Apex 3D Printer? Will we be able to 3d print whole armies in one plate? Let’s check it out!
What are the Features of the Elegoo Jupiter 3D Printer?
The Elegoo Jupiter will have a volumen of 277 x 156 x 300 mm. If compared with the next Elegoo Largest 3D printer, the Huge Elegoo Saturn (192 x 120 x 200 mm) the Elegoo Jupiter offers around three times the total print room. Quite a great upgrade. But how does it compare in reality?

Comparing Printing Plates. Jupiter VS Saturn
We have different good options to compare the plates sooo let’s choose Lychee? Lychee as you all know is a slicer for 3D Printing. For me, it is the best one for 3D Printing and the one that I personally use for Support and Printing in general. So Let’s compare the 3D Printable areas of the Elegoo Saturn and the Elegoo Jupiter in there!
Ohhhh Mama! So much new space to print minis. Do you want to check if a full army will fit in there?

Choosing the Army to 3D Print! Human Empire!
For the purpose of this exercise, we are going to choose an Army to print. I know you all are from different backgrounds and ages but I am a bit all over the place. I sometimes play Warhammer, other times I play 9th age, DnD or other wargames so i am going to choose a Human Army that will fit for all my purposes!
Peculiar companions are right now launching a Kickstarter about an Anglo-Scottish army Medieval Army, so let’s choose them! The models are modular and have some different pieces, swords, heads and armour that you can 3D Print and adjust to get more variety when you 3d Print them. However, for the sake of this experiment, we will only be doing the main bodies and forget about the small extra swords or screaming heads. These extra bits will for sure fit in the cracks of the printer. Let’s 3D Print the Kingdom of England!
How Many Soldiers Will we 3D Print in the Elegoo Jupiter?
Let’s see first how many 3D Printable soldiers do we have! How many minis does the Kingdom of England Kickstarter offer? 60 Soldiers! Let.s see if you all will fit in the Elegoo Jupiter 3D Printer!
Let’s start getting these bad Boys into the 3D printing Plate:
The first that We need to fit in this plate of the Elegoo Saturn is the cavalry. Why do we need to 3d print first the cavalry? Because … an army is not an army with Cavalary! Say whatever you want, but an Army of peasants has not the same .. Swag!

And here we find our first Surprise. The plate of the Elegoo Saturn is almost full only with the cavalry of the Kingdom of England Kickstarter. It is a pity because We want the 60 minutes of the Kickstarter to fit. I know that you can move the minis around to have a better fitting. Let’s see how many more we can get in there.
What will happen in the Elegoo Jupiter?
Due to the increase in the area of the plate. We can 3d Print all the cavalry in rows of 3 knights. Is it not neat? Now we have all the 11 England knights in a tight formation ready to be 3D Printed.

How Many Footmen more will fit in that Elegoo Jupiter plate?
We were able to fit 54 foot soldiers! All fully presuuported. This gives us a grand total of 90 3D Printable Soldiers in the Elegoo Jupiter Plate!!

Results: Will you be able to 3D Print a whole army on the Elegoo Jupiter?
The response is clearly Yes!
It is true that it will highly depend on the army that you will choose to print but based on our experiment with the Kickstarter of Peculiar companions: The KIngdom of England the response to our questions is Yes, we will be able to 3D print whole armies on the Elegoo Jupiter.
